So far, we have:
- Posted to many friends and acquaintances over Facebook to get the word out and find out who else it is affecting.
- Posted to Reddit.com, trying to (again) see how far this has spread.
- Contacted Congressman Tierney's office, to which I got a very quick response from a case worker (who is also a veteran, no less). I went down today (10/9) to sign a Privacy Act statement for them to fight on my behalf
- He said, if all goes well, this will help to take me out of the "General Pile", which is just about everyone, to the "Congressional Pile", which are priority cases, because the Congress is bugging them about it because they are creating an extreme financial hardship.
- Contacted Senator Brown's office, to which I got an automated response, and I sent in a Privacy Act form via snail mail. The case worker at Congressman Tierney's office said, though (nothing against them), that they are usually very slow in that office, dealing with these sorts of things.
- Called more than once to the VA Hotline, and I would wait for such a long time (30+ minutes) to even get through, or not able to get through at all.
- Went on NECN. Erin and I explained at length what was going on, however, they only used a small part of what we said. Congressman Tierney was on the commercial as well.
